Innovation Rescue Christmas: Strada Education Network’s Plan

In a year of innovation, Strada Education Network’s Christmas efforts stand out and motivates others.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program traditionally connects generous donors to the wish lists of children in need for a robust Christmas gift program. The COVID pandemic helped Angel Tree expand to include other ways to give, such as gift cards and toy drive donations, too. Still, Strada Education Network wanted to do more to help neighborhood children during the pandemic. For 2020, Strada creatively doubled their engagement by encouraging employees to give monetarily. Then, for every donation made, Strada’s grant matching department doubled the donation, dollar for dollar.

The Salvation Army National Capital Area Command values Strada’s dedication to helping those in need. By matching employee donations, Strada promotes personal and corporate social responsibility. Thank you, Strada Education Network!

Our community still needs us now more than ever. For the 2021 Angel Tree Season, you and your organization can benefit Angel Tree youth though corporate donation matching and a variety of gift-giving options. More information can be found at www.salvationarmy.org/angeltree or by contacting Ruth.Mwanza@salvationarmy.org. Together, we can Do The Most Good for our young neighbors in need.
