For 100 consecutive years, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) has been providing clean water to their loyal customers with ZERO water quality violations. To acknowledge this incredible milestone, WSSC is expanding its efforts to give back to our community, which has been so trusting of WSSC’s service. WSSC is hosting a centennial celebration – the Blue Tie Ball on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at The Hotel at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD.
Proceeds from the Blue Tie Ball will benefit WSSC’s Water Fund, which was established to provide emergency assistance to Prince George’s and Montgomery County residents, who are unable to pay their water bill. Since 1994 the Water Fund, administered by The Salvation Army National Capital Area, has provided financial assistance to over 3,600 customers and has disbursed more than $1.275M in funding.
