Interstate Moving donates Reefer for Coronavirus Response

April 3, 2020

This week, Thanks to supporters Ken and Faye Morrissette, Interstate Moving Relocation and Logistics of Springfield, VA loaned a refrigerated trailer or reefer to The Salvation Army, in support of our continuing response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The massive vehicle is parked at the Fairfax Corps. It is being used to keep fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy fresh and ready to distribute to struggling families, most of whom are turning to The Salvation Army for help to get through this crisis.

Since the Coronavirus response began, Salvation Army Officers have been distributing food to families in need across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

The Salvation Army remains open and is meeting a wide array of critical needs across the community.  To support our efforts, DONATE now by clicking HERE.
