Help feed kids and families in September at participating area Virginia Safeway stores
Most of the families The Salvation Army serves are food insecure. Our goal is to eliminate hunger, poverty and homelessness through the delivery of much-needed food, shelter, and services to all those in need without discrimination.
The Salvation Army’s Food Pantry program provides food to low-income families and children in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. We provide nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner items to ensure a balanced diet for children.
Last year, 127,243 meals were served and 7,047 food pantry boxes distributed to families in need living throughout the Greater Washington DC region.
Support The Salvation Army’s work to feed people in need when you visit these participating Safeway stores and donate to Hunger Is.
