  • DC Advisory Council Recognizes Retiring Member and Outgoing Regional Chair

    Area Commander Major Steve Morris and William Bodie, Chairman of The Salvation Army Washington DC Advisory Board, acknowledged retiring board member Dr. Fran Cronin last Thursday for her leadership and support role on the Advisory Board and Harbor Light Center Advisory Council at its monthly meeting held in the Foggy Bottom section of Washington.

     
    Dr. Cronin was presented with a framed keepsake containing images of Harbor Light Center where she served for nine years on the Advisory Council. She is moving west to Nebraska to be closer to family.

    “We are thankful for Fran Cronin’s years of devoted service on the Harbor Light Council and DC Advisory Board. Her input and leadership has provided immeasurable guidance in how the Army is helping those men and women whose lives are being helped through The Salvation Army,” said Major Steve Morris. “Our hope is that she will have a beautiful retirement.”

    Major Morris and Mr. Bodie also presented Dr. Robert Betz with a token of appreciation for his dedicated and support of The Salvation Army. Dr. Betz served as the inaugural Chairman of the National Capital Area Regional Advisory Board where he served from 2010-2012. He concurrently served as Chairman of the DC Advisory Board for the past two years where he will continue his role as board member.
